DANCE AND DRAMA THIS TERM

This class is high energy and lots of fun. If your child is the type of child that when they hear music, can't stop moving to the beat, or is a bit of a Drama King/ Queen then this is for them.

Each week we will learn a routine. There is also plenty of opportunity to create some of our moves too. Some weeks will we do our freestyle circle, or do group work to create our dances routines.

For the drama part we will do fun scenarios, like restaurants, hairdressers, the out of control robot and soo much more. Use fun props, old mobiles, torches etc

Each child is different, I will only ever gently encourage a child to create their owns moves or to act. This class is not only about learning to dance and act, but it's also about learning to be more confident in moving our bodies, keeping active, performing in front of others and making new friends. There will be some high energy games, which will be good fun, great exercise and a super release after a busy school day.

The music we dance to is current chart music that your child will recognise. Just watch them tear up the dance floor at your next wedding or disco party invitation

Our dance styles are mainly hip hop and street dance.
